Offerings (2026)

Derelict Arts developed Offerings as a celebration of everything the service users at Maundy Relief have to offer their community. The project culminated in a celebratory afternoon tea, accompanied by spoken word performances created and delivered by participants.

I worked collaboratively with the group to create naturally dyed tablecloths and napkins for the event, using ingredients drawn from the afternoon tea itself, including berries, tea, onion skins and turmeric. The process invited participants to view everyday materials differently, transforming familiar food waste and kitchen ingredients into textiles that became part of the celebration. The finished cloths not only dressed the tables but embodied the collective creativity, care and generosity at the heart of the project.
